How to migrate off Freshteam before it shuts down
Freshworks stopped Freshteam renewals in March 2026. Export your candidates, resumes and job history first, then move to a replacement applicant tracking system.

Freshteam is being discontinued, so every Freshteam customer has to move. The order matters: export your data while the account is still active, then choose a replacement. Doing it the other way round risks losing candidate history to an expired subscription.
This guide covers exporting from Freshteam and setting up ofper, which is free and has no cap on jobs or candidates. The export steps apply whichever replacement you pick.
1. Export your candidate data from Freshteam
In Freshteam, open Admin settings and use the candidate export to download a CSV of every candidate record. Export all statuses, not just active applicants — rejected and archived candidates are part of your hiring history and are the records most often lost in a migration.
Do this first. Once a subscription lapses, access to the data can end, and a CSV you did not download is a CSV you cannot get.
2. Download the resume files separately
Resumes are stored as attachments in Freshteam and are not always included in a CSV export. Download them separately and keep the filenames aligned with candidate names or IDs, so you can match them back up after the move.
3. Record your job list and pipeline stages
Note every open and recently closed job, and the pipeline stages each one used. Stage names are quick to recreate, but reconstructing them from memory after the account closes is not.
4. Create your ofper workspace
Sign up with your work email — ofper sends a one-time code, there are no passwords — and create a company workspace. Recreate your pipeline stages under Company settings, then add your jobs. There is no limit on how many jobs you can post.
5. Verify your domain to unlock the public side
Verifying your company domain is free and takes a few minutes with either a DNS TXT record or an email code. Verification unlocks your public company page, candidate self-apply, screening questions, interview scheduling, and recruiting email through your own mailbox.
6. Re-add candidates and resumes
Add candidates to the relevant job and upload their resume. ofper extracts the text in your browser and pre-fills the form, so re-entry is mostly review rather than typing.
ofper has no CSV import today, so this step is manual. For a large pipeline, prioritise candidates in active stages and archive the rest as files.
What will not transfer
- Freshteam's HR features — employee onboarding, time-off management and employee records — have no equivalent in ofper, which is a recruiting tool only.
- Email threads held inside Freshteam do not move. Recruiting email in ofper goes through your own mailbox, so future correspondence lives in your own sent items.
- Interview feedback and scorecards recorded in Freshteam have no equivalent field in ofper.
- ofper has no CSV import, so candidate re-entry is manual.

When exactly does Freshteam stop working?
Freshworks announced the Freshteam sunset on 7 January 2026 and stopped subscription renewals from 7 March 2026. Existing subscriptions run to the end of their term rather than being cut off on a single date, so check your own renewal date in Freshworks billing.
Can I import my Freshteam CSV into ofper?
Not today. ofper has no CSV import, so candidates are added manually or by uploading a resume, which pre-fills the form from text extracted in your browser. Keep the Freshteam CSV as your archive.
Does ofper cost anything after migrating?
No. ofper is free with unlimited jobs, unlimited candidates and unlimited team members. Domain verification, which unlocks the public company page and recruiting email, is also free.
