How to migrate off Breezy HR: get your candidates out first

Breezy HR gates data export behind its unpriced Pro plan and hides free-plan candidates after 30 days. Here is how to get your candidates and resumes out from any plan, in what order, and what does not come across.

Last updated 2 September 2026. Competitor pricing and plan limits are re-verified against each vendor’s own pages.

Leaving Breezy HR has one complication most applicant tracking systems do not: data export and import are listed under the Custom Pro plan, which has no published price. On Bootstrap, Startup, Growth and Business there is no bulk export to click. The move is still straightforward, but it has to be planned around that, and around the free plan's 30-day candidate window.

This guide covers getting your data out of Breezy HR and setting up ofper, which is free with no cap on jobs, candidates or team members and no expiry on candidate records. The export steps apply whichever replacement you choose. ofper has no job board distribution and no video interviews, both of which Breezy HR includes — read the list of what does not transfer before committing.

1. Check which candidates you can still see

On the free Bootstrap plan, Breezy HR provides access to candidates added within the last 30 days. Anyone added earlier is no longer accessible from the free plan, so the pipeline you can export is the pipeline of the last month. On paid plans there is no window.

If you are on Bootstrap, every day you wait shrinks the export. Start with the candidates closest to ageing out.

2. Ask for an export, and plan for a no

Breezy HR's pricing page lists data export/import as a Custom Pro feature. Contact Breezy HR support and ask for a candidate export regardless of plan — a written request is cheap and the answer is not guaranteed to be no. Do not wait on the reply before starting step 3.

3. Record candidates and download resumes by hand

Without a bulk export, work through each active position and each candidate: note name, email, phone, stage, source and date added, and download the resume file from the candidate's profile. Keep a spreadsheet with one row per candidate per position, and name resume files so they match. Start with candidates in active stages; archived and rejected candidates can wait.

This is the tedious step. For a handful of open roles it is an hour. For a large paid-plan pipeline, prioritise, and keep whatever Breezy HR will not release as a written record rather than trying to reproduce every note.

4. Record your positions, pipelines and questionnaires

For each position, note the pipeline stages and, on paid plans, any candidate questionnaire and its knockout rules. Stage names are quick to recreate in ofper. Questionnaires map to ofper's screening questions, which allow up to five yes/no or number questions per job with knockouts that soft-flag rather than delete.

5. Plan the career site redirect

Breezy HR gives every account a branded career site, and paid plans can put it on a custom domain. Every job URL on it stops working when the account closes. Those URLs are indexed and linked from the 50-plus job boards Breezy HR distributes to. Before the switch, redirect the career site and any live job URLs to your ofper company page, and update the careers link on your own site.

Job URLs that Breezy HR syndicated to Indeed and LinkedIn will keep sending candidates to the old site for a while. Redirect them rather than letting them fail.

6. Create your ofper workspace

Sign up with your work email — ofper sends a one-time code, there are no passwords — and create a company workspace. Recreate your pipeline stages under Company settings, then add your jobs. There is no limit on how many jobs you can post, so the one-active-position rule does not follow you.

7. Verify your domain to unlock the public side

Verifying your company domain is free and takes a few minutes with either a DNS TXT record or an email code. Verification unlocks your public company page, candidate self-apply, screening questions, interview scheduling, and recruiting email through your own mailbox.

8. Re-add active candidates

Add candidates to the relevant job and upload their resume. ofper extracts the text in your browser and pre-fills the form, so re-entry is mostly review rather than typing. Candidate records in ofper do not expire.

ofper has no CSV import, so this step is manual. Prioritise candidates in active stages and keep your spreadsheet as the archive for everyone else.

9. Close the Breezy HR account only after checking

Once your active candidates are in ofper, confirm the redirect is live and the resumes are backed up, then close or downgrade the Breezy HR account. On a paid plan, check the billing date first so you are not charged for another month.

What will not transfer

  • Job board distribution. Breezy HR posts to more than 50 boards, on the free plan included. ofper has no job board distribution; your jobs are published on ofper's public marketplace and your company page, and reach Google for Jobs through structured data.
  • Video interviews, scorecards, interview guides and reference checks. ofper has none of these.
  • Candidates older than 30 days on the free plan. Breezy HR does not make them accessible, so they cannot be exported.
  • Integrations — Gusto, BambooHR, Rippling, Checkr, Zapier and the rest. ofper has no integrations and no API.
  • Email threads tracked inside Breezy HR. Recruiting email in ofper goes through your own mailbox, so future correspondence lives in your own sent items.
  • Reports and analytics. ofper has a dashboard and no reports.
  • ofper has no CSV import, so candidate re-entry is manual.

Questions, answered straight

Can I export my candidates from Breezy HR?

Breezy HR's pricing page lists data export/import under the Custom Pro plan, which has no published price, so there is no bulk export on Bootstrap, Startup, Growth or Business. Ask support for one anyway, and plan to record candidates and download resumes from each profile by hand if the answer is no. Checked against breezy.hr/pricing on 2 September 2026.

What happens to my candidates after 30 days on the free plan?

Breezy HR's Bootstrap plan provides access to candidates added within the last 30 days. Candidates added earlier are no longer accessible from the free plan, so they cannot be exported or contacted through Breezy HR. ofper keeps candidate records permanently.

Can I import a spreadsheet into ofper?

Not today. ofper has no CSV import, so candidates are added manually or by uploading a resume, which pre-fills the form from text extracted in your browser. Keep the spreadsheet and the resume files as your archive.

Does ofper cost anything after migrating?

No. ofper is free with unlimited jobs, unlimited candidates and unlimited team members, and candidate records do not expire. Domain verification, which unlocks the public company page and recruiting email, is also free.

Post your first job in the next ten minutes.
